BIO
Irina Romashevskaya is a Brooklyn-based multi-disciplinary artist who enjoys working with photography, video and graphic design.
She was born in the beautiful city of St. Petersburg Russia, and the old-timey, charming image of the bygone era can be found in the heart of many of her photos.
Her work is nostalgic, moody, and at times very dark. She prefers to work with black and white film, which she believes is a perfect medium to explore the subject of environment, society and human place in the universe.
Romashevskaya exhibits nationally and internationally and her pieces can be found in private collections such as Lois Plehn collection among a few others.
She is a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology and also holds a degree in Western Philosophy from St. Petersburg State University.
